ABOUT US

The Vintage Aviation Museum is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the preservation of warbirds, vintage aircraft, and related World War II artifacts.

Sean O'Brien

Founder/President

Sean is a general contractor who has had a life long interest in World War II artifacts. His passion for World War II aviation began after high school thanks to a local businessman who flew a B-52 bomber in his hometown. Sean has been involved with several museums over the years, participated in restoration services, and flown several warbirds himself, including as a member of a nationwide tour with a B-17 Flying Fortress. After assisting with other museums, Sean wanted to draw on his passion for World War II aviation history and founded the Vintage Aviation Museum in 2014.

Bill Stanczak

Vice President

Bill has been fascinated with aircraft since the early days of his childhood, when he would spend hours watching his dad build model planes. When Bill was in kindergarten, his dad bought him the Squadron Signal "B-17 in Action", and a Lindburgh B-17 model kit. Bill was hooked. He checked out every book on airplanes from the school library, built a paper airplane air force, and made gliders from the spare balsa wood from his dad's kits. In 2001, Bill connected with Mike Kellner and his B-17E "Desert Rat" restoration project. Bill's lifelong goal has been to put a B-17 in the air and fly it with his dad.
